Awe experiences shift our attention away from ourselves, make us feel like we are part of something greater, and promote generosity toward others. Research has shown that awe inducing experiences are good for us physically, socially, and emotionally. Join this community of practice and create awe-filled learning environments filled with curiosity, discovery, and connection.
Why Join?

What’s Included:
- Three 90-minute facilitated sessions with the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley
- A deep dive into the science of awe with a group of like-minded educators from around the world
- Resources and takeaways to apply directly in your school and/or classroom
When to Attend:
Each week we will offer three opportunities to engage in a community of practice—please join one session each week on the day/time that works best for you:
- Tuesdays: April 7, 14, 21 (3:30 - 5:00 pm PT)
- Wednesdays: April 8, 15, 22 (2:00 - 3:30 pm PT)
- Thursdays: April 9, 16, 23 (9:00 - 10:30 am PT)

We have tried to make this programming accessible to many income levels; if the cost is prohibitive to you, please reach out to us at ggsceducation@berkeley.edu to discuss options.
After participating in all three sessions in this community of practice, you will receive a Greater Good Educators badge with 5 clock hours of professional development credit from UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center. One unit of graduate level credit is available after every 15 hours of participation (3 separate communities of practice) from the University of the Pacific through Courses4Teachers.
